GST Registration
GST (Goods and Services Tax) registration is the process of registering a business or individual with the
Goods and Services Tax Council (GSTC) to obtain a unique GST Identification Number (GSTIN).
The following individuals or businesses need to register for GST:
- Businesses with annual turnover exceeding ₹40 lakhs.
- Businesses providing services, such as consultants, freelancers, and professionals.
- E-commerce businesses, including online marketplaces and sellers.
- Businesses supplying goods or services across state borders.
- Casual taxable persons engaged in temporary or seasonal business.
GST Registration Process
- Visit the GST Portal: Visit the GST portal (gst.gov.in) and click on "Register Now".
- Fill the Registration Form: Provide business details, owner/partner details, and signatory information.
- Upload Documents: Submit PAN, Aadhaar, proof of business, and address proof.
- Verify Email and Mobile Number: Enter OTP received from the GST portal.
- Submit the Application: Submit and pay the registration fee (if applicable).
- Receive GSTIN: Once approved, receive the GSTIN (Goods and Services Tax Identification Number).

GST Registration Fees
The GST registration fee is ₹0 (zero) for businesses with an annual turnover up to ₹40 lakhs.
For businesses with an annual turnover exceeding ₹40 lakhs, the registration fee is ₹500.
